Public awareness program in four rural municipalities of Mustang

The Nepal Buddhist Federation, in coordination with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF, Nepal), organized and completed a public awareness program on wildlife and environment conservation through Buddhist education in Mustang, Gharpajhong Rural Municipality, Waragung Muktikshetra Rural Municipality, Lo-Ghekar Damodarkunda Rural Municipality and Lomanthang Rural Municipality from September 12 to 15.
The public awareness program organized in four rural municipalities was held on September 12 at the assembly room of Jomsom Multipurpose Society House, Ward No. 4, Gharpajhong Rural Municipality with the chief guest being the Honorable Mahendra Thakali, Provincial Parliament of Gandaki Province, and the special guests were District Coordination Committee Chief Tshiring Lhamo Gurung, Deputy Chief Rajendra Sherchan, Rural Municipality Chairman, Aas Bahadur Thakali, etc. Similarly, on Asoj 13, a program was held at the assembly hall of the Women's Association in Ward No. 4, Kagbeni, Warang Muktikshetra Rural Municipality with the chief guest being Rural Municipality Chairman Mr. Fenchok Chhepten Gurung, on Asoj 14, at the assembly hall of Lo-Ghekar Damodarkunda Rural Municipality Ward No. 1, Lho Charang Dorjeden Sakya Gonpa with the chief guest being Rural Municipality Chief Mr. Lobsang Chomphel Bist, and on Asoj 15, at the assembly hall of the Women's Association in Ward No. 5, Lomanthang Rural Municipality, with Monchho Dakar Thegchen Ling, Lomanthang Gonpa's revered Khenpo Kunga Tenzin, as the chief guest. The programs were attended by ward chairmen and representatives, chief administrative officers, representatives of religious and social associations, organizations, Gonpas and mother groups, as well as villagers.
The program was facilitated by Acharya Nurbu Sherpa, President of the Nepal Buddhist Federation, Khenpo Jyamyang Tenzing of Ngifug Gonpa, Khenpo Khenrab Sangpo of Namgyal Gonpa, Qing Chyope Gurung, Central Member of the Nepal Buddhist Federation, Ngawang Tashi Gurung, Principal of Pema Chhal Gonpa School, and Acharya Sarki Sherpa, Office Chief of the Nepal Buddhist Federation.
