Nepal Buddhist Federation presents future action plan, receives blessings from Rinpoche

Kathmandu, Chaitra 20 – Nepal Buddhist Federation has organized a special program under the chief hospitality of Kyabje Rabjyam Rinpoche. In this program, the future work plan of the federation was presented, as well as suggestions and requests for cooperation were also collected. Advisors of Nepal Buddhist Federation, presidents and representatives of all four traditions, and social workers from various fields actively participated in the program.
The program was started by Nurbu Thundu Sherpa (Geshe Thupten Jinpa), President of Nepal Buddhist Federation, presenting a report on the progress of the federation since its establishment. The President also highlighted the currently running Buddhist education and conservation programs, long-term responsibilities, and the importance of community leadership. He informed that the future work plan of the federation will work on major topics such as development of Buddhist education, human resource production, and interfaith tolerance.
The chief guest of the program, Venerable Kyabje Shechen Rabzyam Rinpoche, praised the establishment of the Federation and its work, saying, "The Himalayan communities of Nepal have their own distinct identity and are famous all over the world. The language, religion and culture of this community are very important." Rinpoche also blessed all the Himalayan communities to unite in teaching Buddhist education and traditions to children from the school level. He also provided financial support.
The social workers present at the program spoke about the progress and future plans of the Nepal Buddhist Federation and provided financial support on the spot. In addition, many people pledged financial support.
The President expressed his belief that "this program will further strengthen the work of the Nepal Buddhist Federation and further help in bringing Buddhist education traditions to the rural masses, and thanked everyone."
