I have learned to seek my happiness by limiting my desires, rather than attempting to satisfy them.

My religion is Love and Compassion. - H.H. 14th Dalai Lama

Why be unhappy about something if it can be remedied? And what is the use of being unhappy about something if it cannot be remedied?

Letting go of desire is gaining the real happiness and satisfaction in our daily life.

Science without religion is blind. Religion without science is lame.

Do not cultivate any non virtuous action – cultivate only perfect virtuous action. Subdue your own mind: this is the teaching of Lord Buddha.

Mere learning is of no avail without actual practice. The learned man who does not practice is like a colorful flower without scent.

I learned to gain my happiness by reducing my desires.

There is no liberation without knowledge, there is no knowledge without compassion.

Be your own light.

One who conquers oneself is the greatest of victors.

Discussion on determining the equivalence of certificates of the traditional Gonpa education system

In-depth discussions have been held with representatives of Gonpas operating Sheda to determine the equivalence of certificates of Khenpo, Lopon, Geshe, etc. awarded under the traditional Gonpa education system (Sheda), which has been operating in Nepal since ancient times. The Gonpa representatives present have decided to submit the curricula and degree certificates awarded according to their traditions to the Nepal Buddhist Federation for discussion with the concerned body for equivalence.

The Federation will study the submitted documents in comparison with the national curriculum format, prepare a report and take it for discussion with the concerned body, said Geshe Norbu Thundu Sherpa (Thupten Jinpa), President of the Federation.
