२६/काठमाडौं –    नेपाल बौद्ध महासंघको आयोजनामा वातावरण तथा वन्यजन्तु संरक्षण सम्बन्धी २ दिने प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आजबाट सुरु भएको छ । वन तथा भु–संरक्षण मन्त्री मोहमद अकिल मुसलमानको प्रमुख आतिथ्यमा उद्घाटन गरिएको सो कार्यक्रममा नेपाली काग्रेसका सभासद जीप छिरिङ लामा, पासाङ ल्हमु पर्वतारोहण प्रतिष्ठानका अध्यक्ष कृपासुर शेर्पा, नेपाल शेर्पा महिला संघकी अध्यक्ष ङिमी शेर्पा, बौद्ध भिक्षुणी तथा गायिका आनी छोइङ डोल्मा, डब्लु बब्लु एफ का डा. घनश्याम गुरुङ (ग्युर्मेन लामा) लगायतका विभिन्न गुम्बाहरुबाट आएका चारै सम्प्रादायका

बौद्ध भिक्षुहरुको उपस्थिती रहको थियो ।
डब्लु बब्लु एफको सहयोगमा नेपाल बौद्ध महासंघले आयोजना गरेको सो कार्यक्रमले विशेष गरी नेपालको वातावरण र त्यसमा अहिलेको जल्दोबल्दो समस्या जलबायु परिवर्तनले पारेको असरका बिषयमा प्रशिक्षण गराई सो को न्युनीकरणका लागि खेल्नुपर्ने भुमिकाको बारेमा चर्चा गरिने बताइएको छ । कार्यक्रममा बोल्दै वन तथा भु–संरक्षण मन्त्री मोहमद अकिल मुसलमानले यस जलबायु परिवर्तनको असरले भविष्यमा नेपालमा अवस्थित सगरमाथा लगायतका हिमशिखरहरु नै लोप भएर जान सक्ने खतरा प्रति चिन्ता व्यक्त गर्नुभएको थियो । जलबायु परिवर्तन मानवीय कारणले भएको हुनाले यसको न्युनीकरणको बिषयमा विशेष चासो र तत्परता देखाउनुपर्ने उहाँको सुझाव रहको थियो । कार्यक्रममा सभासद जीप छिरिङ लामा डा. घनश्याम गुरुङ लगायतले सम्बोधन गर्नुभएको थियो । उद्घाटनको कार्यक्रम समापन पछि जलबायु परिवर्तनको बारेमा र जलबायु परिवर्तन सम्बन्धी अन्तराष्ट्रिय नीतिको विषयमा प्रशिक्षण तथा अन्तरकृया भएको थियो ।

आचार्य सार्की शेर्पा/असार १, काठमाण्डौं –
बौद्ध धर्मका प्रवर्तक अहिंसा र शान्तिका अग्रदुत तथा सत्य, सदाचार सहिष्णुताको प्रतिक शाक्यमुनी बुद्धको जन्म, ज्ञान प्राप्त र निर्वाण हुनु भएको दिन सागा दावा अथात् बैशाख पूर्णिमाको दिन बुद्ध अनुयायीहरुले श्रद्धापूर्वक मनाँउदै आएका छन् । उक्त अवसरमा नेपाल बौद्ध महासंघद्वारा २०६६ साल देखि सुरु गरिएको पूजा (मोन्लम) यस वर्ष पनि बौद्धनाथ च्यम्चे गोन्पामा अयोजन गरियो ।
नेपालमा रहेको चार सम्प्रदायका बौद्ध भिक्षु भिक्षुणीहरु एकै ठाउँमा जम्म भई गरिन्ने पूजा २०६६ सालमा पहिलो पटक ञिङमा सम्प्रदायको नेतृत्वमा

 शेछेन गोन्पामा, २०६७ सालमा दोस्रो पटक शाक्य सम्प्रदायको नेतृत्वमा स्वयंभू मुस्ताङ गोन्पामा र यस वर्ष गेलुक सम्प्रदायको नेतृत्वमा बौद्धनाथ च्यम्चे गोन्पामा अयोजन गरिएको थियो ।

यस वर्षको पूजाको प्रमुख लामाहरुमा शेर्कोङ रिन्पोछे, कुन्चे रिन्पोछे, दुङसे असंग रिन्पोछे, खेन्पो साङ्गे राङज्युङ रिन्पोछे र अङचे रिन्पोछे पाल्नु भएका छन् ।
पूजा समाप्त पश्चात् रात्री भोजन कार्यक्रममा महासंघका अध्यक्ष ज्यूबाट सम्पूर्ण सहयोगीहरुलाई धन्यवाद दिनु हुदै आगामी दिनहरुमा पनि सहयोगको अपेक्षा व्यक्त गर्नु भयो । उक्त रात्री भोजन कार्यक्रममा महासंघका सल्लाकार तथा अन्य संघ–संस्थाहरुका प्रतिनिधिहरु पनि उपस्थित भएका छन् ।

Nepal Buddhist Federation would like to express deep sorrow and hearty concern over the unexpected disaster which took away hundreds of precious lives of generous citizens of Japan and destroyed billions of property on 11th March 2011.

We pray the Triple Gem from the holy birth country of Lord Buddha Lumbini Nepal for the

government of Japan and its bewildered people to acquire patience, courage to fight back such situations and to bring back their country again in the state of prosperity and normal life. We also would like to pray the Sakyamuni Buddha for your speedy recovery from the present devastating loss prevailing in your country now and peace for thousands of departed souls which had already left the world in full of miseries and sufferings. Therefore, we wish from the bottom of our heart that every walks of shattered lives in Japan may soon see the eyes soothing limelight of normal life. May you all wake up soon from your bad dreams and flourish peace and happiness amongst all.

Nepal and Japan are friendly countries from the time immemorial. We would like to assure you that we are always together either in happy or in sad moments. May the Lord Buddha always bind us in the golden chain of global friendship.

Ever since the Government of Nepal recognized monastic/Gonpa education as a formal system of education, Nepal Buddhist Federation, under the active guidance of the Ministry of Education Nepal began to produce required man power to accept this new challenge.

Last year, Nepal Buddhist Federation, in

close coordination, with the Council for Monastic/Vihara Education, Government of Nepal selected 20 monastic school teachers and posted in different villages in remote areas.

Seeing the success of the teachers, NBF organized yet another re-orientation program for these teachers beginning April 26th for 5 days under the chairmanship of Khenpo Chokyi, Senior Executive member of NBF. Khenpo Jordhen, professor of Havard University was the chief guest.

Representatives from all schools of Mahayana Buddhism such as Geshe Ngawang Kalsang president of Nepal Buddhist Geluk association, Acharya Sarki Sherpa from Nepal Buddhist Nyingma Association, Venerable Jamyang Khedup (Vice president) from Nepal Buddhist Sakya Association, Acharya Karma Namgyal Kargon Dhedhon lhentsok association also attended the opening ceremony.

Ve. Thupten Jigdol, Vice President in his welcome speech highlighted the various efforts of the associations for producing more teachers and requested everybody for their cooperation. The program hosted by Acharya Norbu Sherpa was concluded by Khepo Choki who thanked the Government of Nepal for brining the Gonpa education to the mainstream and all the teachers who really worked hard during the last one year.

The orientation program will not only introduce to the teachers, new text books of class 8 onwards but also get back the feedbacks from the teachers for further improvement in the program.

Public participation and appreciation especially by the people of the Himali region for this initiative have further boosted the morale of the organizers. The organizer believes that promotion and preservation of this unique education will contribute to peace in Nepal.

नेपाल बौद्ध महासंघले दोस्रो महाधिबेशनको अवसरमा प्रकाशन गरेको स्मारिका पढन यहाँ

नेपाल बौद्ध महासंघको दोस्रो महाधिबेशन गोकर्ण स्थित नोर्लिङ रिसोर्टमा हालै सम्पन्न भएको छ। यस महाधिबेशनको उद्घाटन समारोहको प्रमुख अतिथीमा संविधान सभाद्यक्षा सुवास नेम्वाङ हुनु हुन्थ्यो।  अधिबेसनमा प्रमुख अतिथि सुवास नेमवाङबाट नेपाल बौद्ध महासंघद्वारा प्रकाशित नेपाल बौद्ध संघको गतिबिधिहरु बारेको स्मारिकाको विमोचन पनि

गर्नु भयो। बौद्ध धर्ममा बिभिन्न सम्प्रदाय र परमपराहरु जस्तै थेरबाद,हिनयान, महायान र बज्रयान

 अन्तर्गतको धर्मगुरु तथा प्रतिनिधिहरुको उपास्थिति रहेको थियो भने बिभिन्न संघ साँस्थाको प्रतिनिधिहरु सहित बिभिन्न गोन्पाको को प्रतिनिधिहरु भिक्षु तथा भिक्षुणीहरुको पनि उल्लेखनिय रुपमा उपास्थित रहेको थियो।

 उद्घाटन समारोहमा बिभिन्न बक्तहरुले नेपालमा हाल बिधामान बौद्ध धर्म माथी आ-आफ्नो बिचार राखनु भएको थियो। मन्तब्य दिनु हुने हरुमा नेपाल शेर्पा संघको केन्द्रिय अध्यक्ष,नेपाल तामङ राष्ट्रिय बौद्ध महासंघको महासचिव श्याम तामाङ,सांस्क्रिति मन्त्रलयको सचिव मोदराज डोटेल,संविधान सभा सद्स्य मनानिय जिप छिरिङ लामा शेर्पा, बौद्ध दर्शन प्रवद्धन तथा गोन्पा बिकास समितिको अद्यक्षा ङिमा दोर्जे लामा योल्मोपा, नेपाल शाक्या बौद्ध संघका उपाध्यक्षा खेन्पो ज्याम्याङ खेड्रुप,नेपाल बौद्ध गेलुग संघको अद्यक्ष गेशे ङावाङ काल्साङ शेर्पा,मुस्ताङ चुम समाजको अध्यक्ष, नेपाल ङिङमा संघको तर्फबाट सेन्डक टुल्कु रिन्पोचे, बज्रयान बौद्द् संघका प्रतिनिधि,अखिल नेपाल भिक्षु संघको अध्यक्ष लगायतको प्रतिनिधीहरुले आ-आफ्नो धारणा राख्नु भएको थियो।

मन्तब्यको क्रममा बक्तहरुले बौद्ध हरु जुन सम्प्रदाय र परमपराको भए ता पनि आखिरी भगवान बुद्धको अनुयायी भएको कारण सबैलाई नेपाल बौद्ध महासंघ अन्तर्गत रहेर एक हुनु पर्ने बिचार राखनु भएको थियो। यसै गरि छोटो समयमामै निक्कै महत्वपुर्ण फड्को मार्न सफल नेपाल बौद्ध माहसंघले बिगत देखि बर्तमान सम्मा धेरै उपलब्धिमुलक कार्यक्रमहरु गरेको बताउनु भयो। कार्यक्रममा संबिधान सभा सद्स्य श्री जिप छिरिङ् लामा शेर्पाले अब  हुने राष्ट्रिय जनगणनमा राष्ट्रिय तथ्याँङक संकलन गर्ने क्रममा मिथ्याँङक नहोस भनि प्रत्येक जातजातीहरु सचेत हुनु पर्ने तथ्यांक संकलन गरेको पतिलिपीहरु चारवाट हुनु पर्ने जस्मा एक प्रति घरमुलीलाई, एक प्रति गा बि समा एक प्रति जिल्लामा र एक प्रति केन्द्रमा हुनु पर्ने बताउनु भयो । जस्ले गर्दा सहि तथ्यँक संकलन होस, यस्को लागी आफुले पनि संविधान सभामा सक्दो अवाज उठाउने प्रतिबद्धता ब्यक्त गर्नु भयो। प्रथम चरणको कार्यक्रममा महा सचिव थुप्तेन जिगडोल (फुपु छेम्पे शेर्पा ताप्लेजुङ)ले महासचिवको प्रतिबेदन प्रास्तुत गरे भने, लुम्बिनि बिकाश कोषको उपाध्यक्ष समेत रहनु भएको नेपाल बौद्ध महा संघको कोषध्यक्ष आचार्य कर्मा साङबो शेर्पाले कोषको प्रतिबेदन पेश गर्नु भयो। उद्घाटन समारोहमा महा संघको अधक्ष खेन्पो ग्युर्मे छुल्ठिमले सबैलाई धन्याबाद दिनु हुंदै आफ्नो कार्यकालमा अधुरो रहेको कार्यहरुलाई आफु महासंघ भन्दा बाहिर रहेर पनि सक्दो सहयोग गर्ने प्रतिबद्धता दिनु ब्यक्त गर्नु भयो।

दोश्रो चरणमा  बन्द सत्र पछि घोषणा सभामा परिणत भएको थियो। घोषणा सभाको प्रमुख अतिथिको रुपमा परम पुज्यनिय धर्म गुरु नवौ खेन्चेन क्याब्जे ठाङ्गु रिन्पोछेको बिराजमान हुनु हुन्थ्यो।
नेपाल शेर्पा संघको निबर्तमान अद्ध्य्क्ष क्रिपा सुर शेर्पाको अध्यक्ष्तामा एक निर्वचन समिति गठन भयो गठन भएको निर्वाचन मण्डलले अगामी तीन बर्षको लागी अध्यक्ष पदमा खेन्पो भगिन्द्र शिला(नन्द प्रसाद तिमिल्सिना)लाई सर्वसहमतिबाट चुनीनु भएको थियो। खेन्पो भगेन्द्र शिल महायान बौध परमपरामा शाक्यापा बाट आउनु भएको हो। यसै गरि उपाध्यक्ष पदमा महासंघकै भु पु महा सचिव थुप्तेन जिगडोल(फुपु छेम्पे शेर्पा ताप्लेजुङ)लाईचुनिनु भएको छ। वहाँ गेलुग परमपराको हुनु हुन्छ। त्यसै गरि महा सचिव पदमा कग्यु परमपराको आचार्य कार्मा साङपो शेर्पा हुनुहुन्छ आचार्य कर्मा साङबो लुम्बुनि बिकास कोषको उपाद्यक्ष समेत हुनुहुन्छ। यसै गरि कोषाध्यक्ष पदमा  ङिङमापा परमपराको आचार्य नुरु शेर्पालाई चुनिनु भएको छ।
अन्य सदस्यहरुमा बिभिन्न गोन्पाको खेन्पोहरु हुनुहुन्छ।
नव निर्वाचित अध्यक्ष खेन्पो भगेन्द्र शिलले आफ्नो काँधमा ठुलो र महत्वपुर्ण जिम्मेवारी आईपरेको र क्रमश: समाधान गर्ने बताउनु भयो। बिगतमा महासंघले पहल गरेको गोन्पा शिक्षा प्रणालीलाई अझ १० कक्षा सम्माको पाठ्यक्रममा समाबेश गर्ने उद्देस्यले कार्यक्रम अघिसार्ने बताउनु भयो भने लुम्बिनि बिस्व बिधालयमा माहायान बिस्वबिध्यालय स्थापनाको लागी पनि सक्दो पहल गर्ने बताउनु भयो। नव निर्वाचित कार्य समितीहरुलाई प्रमुख अतिथि ठाङ्गु रिन्पोछे ज्यु बाट सपथ ग्रहण गराउनु हुँदै आशिर्बाद सहित कार्यकालको शुभकामना दिनु भएको थियो भने बौद्ध महासंगको प्रशांस गर्नु भयो।

Lumbini Buddhist University held 4 days MA Curriculum Symposium at Lumbini from 30th Oct to 2nd Nov 2010. The opening ceremony chief guest of the program was Honorable minister Sarbendra Nath Sukla, Minister of education,

Dr. Professor, and many scholars participated on the symposium. Nepal Buddhist federation, General Secretary, Thubten Jikdol Sherpa and Secretary, Acharya Norbu Sherpa also participated on symposium.

NBF General Secretary Thubten Jikdol Sherpa And sectretary Acharya Norbu Sherpa jointly participated Gauam Buddha International Peace Award briefing session at Hotel Himalayan, Kupoundol, Lalitpur. Program was organized by newly formed Management and Selection Committee under the Ministery for Federal Affairs &  Culture. Guest of honor was DR. Minendra Rizal, Hon. Minister for Federal Affairs &  Culture.

The first world Buddhist summit held in December 1988 unanimously passed a declaration designating Lumbini, Nepal, the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha, as the foundationof World Peace. Its also passed a resolution to establish an International Peace Prize named after Lord Gautam Buddha.

The  Gauam Buddha International Peace Award was formally announce by the Government of Nepal in 2002. Its objective is to recognize and honor individuals and institutions around the world that have made a significant contribution to peace and non-voilence inspired by the teaching and messeges of Lord Buddha.

Every five years U $ 50,000 Award amount will be granted. The first  Gauam Buddha International Peace Award will be conferred on the occasion of Gautam Buddha’s 2555th anniversary, on Buddha Jayanti on 17 May 2011.

More the 1000 monks and nuns representing from four schools of Mahayana Buddhism coming from various monasteries of Nepal from Drachula to Taplejung sat together for two days to pray for the 2nd year.  This unique Saka Dawa Monlam tradition started last year on the Budddha Jyanti(Saka Dawa) day to foster peace in the world and Nepal.

This year's Monlam was held at Mustang Samaj Gonpa(Soyambu)  between  26th - 27th May 2010, with special dedication to the victims of the Yushu earthquake in Tibet. In between the prayer, the Sangha community also watched and listened to a slide show presented by Director Dr. Gana Syam gurung, director WWF, Nepal and Mr. Roshan Sherchan since it is also important for the Sangha community to understand the technicalities of perseveration of environment which otherwise  has been a part of the thousand year old spiritual tradition.

A three day unique international workshop was successfully concluded in Bhutan being organized by WWF between 17-19, May 2010. The subject of the seminar was preservation of the sacred sites, bio-cultural diversity and climate change in the eastern Himalayas. Keeping in view the unique cultural heritage of the Buddhists residing in the eastern Himalayas, the opening ceremony which  was presided by Hon'ble Lonpo Migyur Dorji, Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Home, His Majesty's Government of Bhutan started with Marchang, a traditional Bhutanese ceremony.

Buddhist participants coming from Bhutan, India,  Myanmar, Nepal and environmentalist  from USA, France, UK, Switzerland  engaged in a serious discussion about the relevance of the local deities to the sacred sites and how ancient system of Buddhist philosophy can contribute to the preservation of the fragile eco system of the eastern Himalayas.

Nepal was represented by Ven Thubden Jogdol, General Secretary, Nepal Buddhist Federation and Acharya Karma Sangpo, Vice-Chairman ,  Lumbini Development Trust and various organization representatives  from Nepal. 

Seminar concluded with understanding of the rapid global environment changes and people in the Himalayas who are the stake holders must be ever more alert and take personal responsible to save the environment.
